Marking the entrance to the resort at Flaine Forum, Carl Nesjar's Fountain is a 4m80 high stainless steel structure installed in September 2008.
In winter, when temperatures drop below zero, the structure is adorned with snow and majestic stalactites of translucent white ice.

The Flaine Art Centre organises a free guided tour of the resort every Tuesday at 2pm (in winter and summer, registration required).

Follow the director of the Art Centre through the twists and turns of Flaine, in pursuit of the History of Flaine and its little stories too...

The ice fountain is one of the buildings featured on this tour.

How to find us

The fountain is located in Flaine Forum, at the entrance to the covered street (Cassiopée Building).

To get there on foot from Flaine Forêt, take the orange inclined lifts.

Coming by car? The nearest car park is P2, just before the entrance to Flaine Forum.
