From the Gérats village, with it’s impressive contemporary church, this short hike walks through pines and glades until a wonderful point of view.
From its 1953 meters high, the Arbaron Peak reveal the whole Arves Valley by a side, and the differents peaks of the Véran Mountain : La Croix de Fer, l’Aiguille d’Aiguille d’Aujon and the Aulp de Véran.
Of interest : you will be able to discover the Refuge Tonneau, work of the french architect and designer Charlotte Perriand.
Topo step by step : Start: Hameau des Gérats 1/ From the Hameau des Gérats car park, take the path on the left towards Les Gérats. When you reach ‘Les Gérats’, follow the path up to l’Arbaron on the right. 2/ At l’Arbaron, continue along the path towards the Col de Pierre Carrée, passing through Barme Rostà. 3/ At the Col de Pierre Carrée signpost, cross the road and follow the gravel path. Follow this gravel path to the Bassin de la Pallud. 4/ At Bassin de la Pallud, join the road to Flaine. Continue as far as the roundabout and then take the first exit onto the road towards the Hameau des Gérats. Continue straight ahead to reach your starting point.
